Francisco Pizarro explored South America which is now present day Peru, but then it was the location of the Incan Empire. Francisco went on this journey, ordered by the governor of Panama, to find wealth. But on his voyage toward the west coast of South America, the governor ordered him to turn around, to spare peoples' lives. (Roger Beck, Linda Black, Larry S. Krieger, Phillip Naylor, Dahia Ibo Shabaka, World History:Patterns of Interaction(Evanston, IL: McDougal Littel, 2009), page 557) But Pizarro still wanted wealth and did not mind ending lives. He invited any of his followers who desired for wealth like he did and continued to set off for South America.

Francisco Pizarro should be viewed as a villain in history because of mistreat of everyone and his selfishness. He used the natives and he disobeyed orders for the selfishness of wanting gold for himself. He killed over thousands of Incans because he wanted to be accounted for finding land and gold. Regardless of his situation as a child, you should not kill various people for your own selfish reasoning. "Then he told him all the information he had received. Atahualpa answered, saying: "Are you laughing at me? You are always making jokes when you speak to me. What am I and all my people that we should trouble such valiant men as you are? Do not talk such nonsense to me." He said all this without betraying a sign of anxiety" (Capture of an Inca King: Francisco Pizarro, 2000, www.historycentral.com/dates/1521ad.html). Francisco was breaking up the people of the Incan Empire, he disturbed the peace of their society and religion. Yes, he found a great land in South America, but he ended a valuable religion, due to his desire of glory and gold.
Pizarro took part in activities that harmed societies and destroyed the fair treatment of humankind. He abused the natives and worked them in dangerous situations, which resulted in death. His wrongdoings influenced others to do the same so they could riches which isn't fair. If he were in the natives shoes, he'd feel it was unfair treatment as well. Francisco should have kept moving and found an unclaimed place and found riches of his own. He technically did not find Peru because the Incans were already settled there. He technically stole the land from them. Francisco Pizarro is a villain for his mistreatment of people while on his way to finding Peru and while in Peru.

Pizarro also impacted the Inca environment by the use of their mines. When he was told there were various mines where they got their riches, he automatically sent the Natives to get these riches for him. These jewels were precious and the constant disturbance of the mines led to them being scarce. Now, there are probably still jewels in the Peru area, but the might be very expensive. If he had not took so many jewels, prices of the riches in Peru today might be less expensive. The environment might not be as healthy for crops either because of the advanced ammunition they used to conquer the Incans. The Incans only had bow and arrows, more basic weapons. But the Spaniards were more advanced and had cannons, bombs, guns, etc. This can disturb the soil and how fast crops, plants, etc will grow in Peru.
His colony reflected European culture because they both use natives as slaves, and focus on getting riches. How strong your colony was depended mercantilism, the power of a colony depends on how much wealth they have and self sufficiency. Pizarro wanted wealth so he could show his power, just as the Europeans. These similarities show the direction the world was going in when it came to greed, inhumanity, etc.
